Naboo was a bountiful planet in the Mid Rim, close to the border of the Outer Rim Territories. It was home to the Gungan species and to a population of humans known as the Naboo.
As Dorian dropped out of hyperspace he held his breath. So far all the worlds he had been to since leaving the Vandelhelm system had been the same. Dead. Sure there were the odd people left alive hear and there, people like him but not enough to stick around. It seemed thus far Naboo had fared slightly better since everyone had died. Maybe it was because it was in the middle of three great hyperspace routes that would leave from the Outer Rims to the Core worlds. Or maybe it was because the planet had been overlooked by the powers that be.
At least this system had more than dead husks of ships floating endlessly above the planet. A handful actually moved around under direct control. No doubt most are hopping from ship to ship looking for goods to steal, maybe a few brave souls looking to help. Maybe some of them knew a little history and were hoping that Naboo would offer them sanctuary just as it had more than a thousand years prior to those who settled the world.
Midnight Squad's Nu-Class' shuttle dropped out of hyperspace in response to a code transmission similar to those of the Clone Wars. None of the squad members knew how long they were in stasis for but everything around them on Raxus Prime felt different. Blasters, ships, clothing, etc. They hadn't seen any of the stuff before, assuming that it was the time the Galactic Empire was rising under Palpatine.
The choice to depart Raxus Prime for Naboo was an easy choice to make. They knew that Naboo was a peaceful planet and wasn't involved in any galactic affairs. They decided that if they're going to hide from the Empire, they would hide on the Naboo plains.
The shuttle entered the atmosphere and descended down to the surface towards Naboo's capital city: Theed.
A small light freighter breaks from the hyperspace lane, and rapidly decelerates....then begins to scan. The damage didn't seem to be as severe as it was on Corellia, but Theed had still been hit pretty hard. The entire area surrounding the Royal Palace was aflame, and other parts in the southern section of the city were charred and in ashes.
There was nothing but static coming through from orbital control, so Adi directed the ship down toward the source of the message he had gotten on Manaan. Here was hoping it wasn't a trap.....
....if it was? The ones who set it would regret doing so.
Hettyc's view port cleared to show a pristine world, with an obvious scab of smoke that could only be the smoldering remains of Theed. His YV-929, Ne'tra Ruyot, exited hyperspace smoothly and began sweeping for signs of local traffic. He picked up the ion trail of a ship that had preceded him maybe just hours ago. Though his sensors could do no more than trace it into Naboo's atmosphere. Someone had made a landing, but there seemed to be no local authority in place. It would be a good guess then that whoever had arrived before him could hold their own against the viral hordes, if any still existed on the planet below.
A more detailed scan of Theed as he approached high orbit, showed that the fires were dying out slowly, as they consumed the last abandoned remnants of the once scenic and iconic city. Hettyc checked and confirmed that his target destination no longer existed. A mild problem for a man with a full hold. Parts of the city had survived, and plenty of inhabitants remained, but the main spaceport was a total disaster. He scanned the surface surrounding the city. Most of it seemed to show signs of the inhabitant's violent passing. He focused on the areas that seemed devoid of these signs, hoping to find something of interest; in particular a place to offload cargo and maybe pick a new one up. If all else failed he'd just land outside of the city and get a few sleds to haul his cargo into one of the surviving establishments.
A small freighter lifted from the surface of Naboo. After clearing Orbital Control, it wasnt but a moment before the ship streaked into nothingness, bound for Honoghr.
